Colors In Space, Winter 2025
hello, thanks for joining this mailing list of my creative musings and their unfolding
i’ve wanted to have a mailing list that invites us to slow down - a playful pause.
while this is from my lens, my interpretation of other, sharing that experience with others has enriched my life greatly. the vulnerability of art and creativity can soften our ego if we let it, creating intentional space where connection begins. in the fall of 2023, i was moving from west nashville over to east nashville and found myself with an overlap in my leases. i took that last month and created an art experience in my empty home and invited everyone i could. the response from “EMPTY” was unanimously the same: “i had so many good conversations and met some really cool people!” and i knew what i wanted to create next. physical connection is needed more than ever and i started to look for ways to make that part of my life and community. fast forward to now, winter 2025 and i am opening my gallery studio space in the heart of east nashville, a place to build community and connection through art. it’s been a concept i’ve been chewing on for a while - a mixture of a gallery and artistic incubator program. i’ve been given so much from my creative mentors and its the overlap of experience that ties us all together. this space, FEVER DREAM is having its grand opening party on saturday february 15, from 6-10pm at 2611 gallatin pk, nashville tn. please join me in celebration of this space!
besides opening FEVER DREAM next month, i recently premiered a short film i made with my good friend and art director and cinematographer erik doty on digbmx.com. this 10 minute short film was a stream of consciousness story of what riding bmx is like these days. when the landscape shifts, its an opportunity to expand. ive been riding bmx for over 30 years now and seasons of expression ebb and flow. with some determination and grit, we wrangled our schedules and put this story together. please enjoy HERE.
thanks for signing up for this, i’m not sure where i’ll go with it, but i know it will be from a mindful place. it’d be fun if it was a bi-weekly sunday morning meditation - who knows.
